Indoor Archery

 Come and have a go   ---- it's fun, it's easy and it's rewarding!

 Every Thursday at 46 Bridge Street Tokoroa in the Toa Ara Hall (upstairs).

 Clubs, families welcome. Team building sessions available.

 Kids 5:30pm ; Adults 6:30pm

 Beginners through advanced. Come check out your existing skills or learn from the ground up.

 Private lessons available.

The objects of the TOA ARA ARCHERS Club, a community non-profit club based in Tokoroa, are:
  • To offer South Waikato youth a positive self esteem building programme with emphasis on building self confidence and personal pride of accomplishment using the Sport of Archery as a vehicle
  • To attract families of participating youth and offer a quality family activity
  • To remain affordable at all socio-economic levels
  • To offer both indoor and outdoor Archery experiences
  • To provide a safe, positive archery environment for all participants
  • The opportunity to experience the sport of Archery from amateur to professional levels provided by professional coaching accessed from within club membership or through affiliated organisations
  • To offer opportunities to travel and compete with other clubs at local, national and international levels.

Outdoor Community Shoots offered by the Club:

Hosted on the 1st Sunday of every month 2:00pm
Archers meet at the Cricket Club grounds off Mossop Road (next to the Mountain Bike Track).
This is a great opportunity to try your hand at Archery, so join in!
These shoots are open to all for a cost of only:

  • $2.00 under 16yrs
  • $3.00 16yrs and over
  • Club members shoot for free

If you would like to become a member of TOA ARA ARCHERS ...

Join the club for $20 per year per person, effective April 1st of each year.
We have at least four 3D Target outdoor shoots per year that are free for club members. Guests are welcome for a small fee. Our National Tournament (Fraggle Rock) is held on the last Sunday in November each year. The club also hosts special events. Club members travel to other club competitions as desired. Members can purchase Toa Ara Archers club shirts, get Achery discounts and more...

We're already thinking of some different, fun and challenging "stuff".  Featuring full club room facilities and kitchen ..

A variety of bush shots and the terrain will suit all comers of ALL ages. Keep the date open and come enjoy the fun, friendship and competition. Unique trophies and spot prizes - something different to end the season with . Location link below.

What an impressive year for Toa Ara Archers! Huge thanks to all those who were committed to making it all happen. Your volunteer efforts were outstanding and much appreciated.

Congratulations to all those who competed and were successful in bringing home "the bacon".  

We have welcomed some new members and happily

watched their impressive progress over a short period of time.

We've been able to help some community groups and schools and provide a safe, fun activity for kids of all ages.

Fraggle Rock 4 was again well received by the challengers of

all ages.....we were able to offer a few different and unique shots thanks to sponsors and members creativity!

Watch for an article in the NZ Archer magazine --thanks for including us Caroline!

The A & P "container" shots once again proved inviting to many show goers.... giving it their all, but no one able to snag the money this year. We did our best to try and give it away too!

Kiwi 3D series Round 1 - 12th Feb. Pine Ridge; Round 2- 18th Mar. Twin Coast; Round- 3 15th Apr. Massey

Massey Archery club Safari - 25th-27th Feb.

The club will be hosting Archery at the South Waikato Super Sports weekend on the 25th/26th February -- we see over 40 teams of two competing in a variety of challenging events over the weekend.... Archery will be on Sunday morning at the Cricket grounds along with a number of other events also held at that location.
